Look through our site & take the time to see some of the things we do. Make sure to check out the website for the 26th Street church of Christ as well. You won't find a more sound & loving congregation of Christians anywhere. If you're visiting Marshall on a Sunday or Wednesday, take the time to stop by & worship with us at 26th Street. We'd love to get to know you better & let you get to know us better as well. We provide rides to all worship services & activities for all students needing transportation. If you have any questions whatsoever, you can contact our campus minister, Chris Roberts, at Herd4Christ@Yahoo.com.

Wednesday Night Bible Class & Adopt-A-Student Reveal
(Wednesday, September 19 @ 7pm @ the 26th St. church of Christ)
I will continue teaching our Wednesday night class this quarter entitled “Contagious Christianity”. Evangelism is such an important part of being a Christian, but it can also be incredibly frustrating & intimidating for us. So often, we’re just not sure how to do it or be effective at it. We’ll be looking at ways that we can find our strengths & be able to evangelize in a way that is natural to us & those we are trying to reach. This Wednesday we’ll look at telling your story. Please remember to bring your workbook folder & if you haven’t filled out your styles questionnaire, please do so (if you need help, let me know).
Please take the time to be a part of this class & invite your friends as well.
After class, plan to stick around & enjoy some dessert as we reveal the Adopt-A-Student match-ups for the school year. We’re looking forward to this & hope that you are as well.
If you have any questions or need a ride, please contact Chris Roberts at Herd4Christ@Yahoo.com.
Dinner & A Movie Night
(Thursday, September 20 @ 7pm @ the Roberts' Home)
This is our first Thursday of the semester without a birthday, so we will eat an awesome home-cooked meal & then we’ll watch a really good movie voted on by majority rule. Enjoy good food & fellowship.
On the menu this week: Breakfast Food.
If you need directions, have any questions, or need a ride please let me know.
The "Singing" Devo
(Friday, September 21 @ 6pm @ The Peters' Home)
Our Devo this Friday will be @ the home of Pete & Ava Peters. This will be a wonderful treat & I hope you’re all looking forward to it. We’ll plan to meet @ the church building @ 5:20pm & then carpool to their home. If you’re unable to make the carpool, the address is: 83 Pinecrest Lane, Kenova, WV 25530. The dinner promises to be wonderful. If you haven’t signed the sheet on the Herd4Christ bulletin board yet, please do so by Wednesday. If you can’t be there Wednesday, let me know & I’ll sign it for you. I’ll just need to know if you prefer Beef, Chicken or both. After dinner, Pete has said he’d like to spend a lot of the time singing, which is why I’ve dubbed this the “Singing” Devo. Pete is a phenomenal song leader & he plans on teaching us a new song in addition to the ones we know & love. I hope you can all make it.
If you have any questions, contact Chris Roberts @ Herd4Christ@Yahoo.com.
Sunday Bible Class, Worship & Family Dinner
(Sunday, September 23 @ 9:45am & 6pm @ the 26th Street church of Christ)
Pete Peters will continue teaching our class this Quarter entitled “Can You Hear Me Now?”. It’s about learning to listen to God & is designed to teach us the ways God spoke to individuals in Bible times & how He communicates with us today. God knows our lives from start to finish. It’s important for us to know how to hear His voice. Are you listening? Are you trying to hear God’s voice? Are you using what you know & hear to speak to others? Please take the time to be a part of this class & remember to bring your green folder (if you don’t have one, Pete will give you one on Sunday). We’re also to read Hebrews 11 & answer the following questions listed in the folder:
1. What would have happened if the persons listed had decided not to listen to God?
2. James 2:14 & Luke 6:1-4 indicates that in addition to faith we have to take _____________. All of God’s promises & invitations will be meaningless to you unless you believe Him & obey Him.
After class we'll enjoy a time of worship together. Plan to stick around for the Family Dinner following worship. Don't forget to be back for worship at 6pm. If you need a ride to church, please contact Chris Roberts @ Herd4Christ@Yahoo.com, so that we can arrange to pick you up.
Learn to sing "Lord Be There"
This is a beautiful song & one that I would like us all to learn to sing. It requires four distinct parts (Soprano, Tenor, Alto & Bass). I've included each individual part below. Sing along with the part you wish to learn & we can sing it together at devotionals. To hear what it sounds like with all the parts together, click on it under Volume 2 on the left of your screen.

From the inside cover of Volume 5: We are Herd4Christ, a campus ministry of the 26th Street church of Christ. This is the 5th CD we've put together as a group. While we are not professional singers, we do love to praise our Lord with our voices as He would have us to do. I hope that you enjoy our 5th humble attempt at putting together some of our favorite songs on this CD. Please feel free to sing along with the songs on this CD. If you don't know some of them, take the time to learn them. You'll find a word sheet inside the cover. It is our hope that these songs will help to lift your spirit. I would like to thank all our singers. This wouldn't be possible without you.
